There have been many well known Shannons through the years. This page attempts to honor their achievements. Since Shannon can be used as either a surname or a first name we have limited the scope of this site to the surname.
The Shannon Hall of Fame is a work in progress and we encourage your submission of worthy candidates. For reasons of space limitations we have sub-divided the hall of fame into the following branches:
